The excitement continues in this final instalment of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang series, as Frank Cottrell Boyce pushes the reader to their limits. Stuck in 1966 without a vehicle, the Tootings take little hope of retrieving Chitty Chitty Bang Blindside from Tiny Jack and Nanny. Mr. Tooting surmises that their only hope will be to locate Commander Pott and the rest of the family unit, who could destroy the original vehicle, thereby keeping information technology from always having fallen into the hands of nefarious villains. T The excitement continues in this final instalment of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang series, as Frank Cottrell Boyce pushes the reader to their limits. Stuck in 1966 without a vehicle, the Tootings have piffling hope of retrieving Chitty Chitty Bang Blindside from Tiny Jack and Nanny. Mr. Tooting surmises that their only hope will exist to locate Commander Pott and the balance of the family unit, who could destroy the original vehicle, thereby keeping it from ever having fallen into the hands of nefarious villains. They locate the Commander as he rushes away in the original auto, merely before they accept time to contemplate their options, the Tootings observe that the clock tower of the Houses of Westminster (yes, the 1 holding Big Ben) has been turned into a makeshift shipping, circumvoluted the globe. Subsequent events aid the reader to realise that the Commander and Mrs. Pott are aboard the tower, along with Baby Harry. Teaming upwards with Jeremy and Jemima Pott, the Tootings shortly detect that Commander Pott is trying to achieve out to them to explicate the dastardly plan Tiny Jack has put into motion. With a revamped 1960s Chitty Chitty Blindside Blindside, the Tootings and Pott children piece of work together and head out for the N Pole, merely to be caught in yet another web laid for them past Nanny. It is at this point that Tiny Jack reveals all; that he has hopes of taking Chitty Chitty Bang Blindside to the moon to add to his cause célèbre. Through a series of dastardly games and revelations the Tootings and Potts must work together to turn the tides, or Tiny Jack and Nanny will add another layer to their growing legacy of infamy, leaving the earth unable to stop them and Chitty firmly in their grasp. The fastest and nearly complex of all the stories, Cottrell Boyce leaves picayune time for the reader to catch their breath before delivering the last dial! From the 'chronojuster' to Count Zborowski and even into the earth of lost-cities, the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang serial has taken the reader through time, space, and into the far-reaching crevices of the centre. When I started the serial as a buddy read, I was not sure I would be pulled in, but had agreed to something a little light-hearted. Now that we accept reached the end, information technology is equally if I am slightly deflated that this zooming vehicle of multiple permutations has finally left for good. Equally with the previous sequels, Cottrell Boyce pulls together many of the heady characters and storylines to proceed the reader hooked on what is going on. This story is surely the virtually complex and action-filled, as it deals with time and space travels, as well as trying to tie off all the loose ends laid out in past books. There is a sense of finality that will allow the reader some semblance of peace, though the door remains open up just a little to the possible return of Chitty and some of the characters. From the Pott Family through to the Tootings, both Ian Fleming and Frank Cottrell Boyce accept laid the groundwork for a wonderful children'south series that can be enjoyed past readers of all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 books and would recommend it to anyone, either equally a solo, group, or buddy read.
Kudos, Mr. Cottrell Boyce for taking upwards the serial and allowing a new generation of readers to explore the magic of all things Chitty!

Review originally posted at RedeemedReaderThe magical machine seems to be flying for the last time in this latest installment of her time-traveling adventures (following Chitty Bang Bang and the Race against Fourth dimension, which takes her and the Tooting family back to the prehistoric era). Not only does Chitty wing to the moon and back, but this fourth dimension, the Tooting family actually meets the original Potts family. At that place are also instances in which the modern Chitty is in the same time and place with a Chitty from another time and place. The Tootings and Pottses try valiantly to go along the ii Chittys from actually seeing each other because they rightly fear an interruption in the infinite-time continuum. Tiny Jack is his aforementioned nefarious self, and everyone gets a glimpse of what the future would exist if we went back and tinkered with the by.
Sometimes, difficult decisions must be made, and the Tootings and Pottses are faced with a doozie: do they practise the right thing, have Chitty back into the by, and undo a wrong? By undoing information technology, they will besides undo the Tootings' own experiences with Chitty—without even a retentivity left. This sacrifice on the Tootings' part would be immense. But, doing the correct thing oft does phone call for sacrifice. And community oft helps us survive those sacrifices. A terrifically fun read, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Over the Moon is light sci-fi, total of quirky characters, nicely diverse, and very British.

My 5 year former son loved reading the first two books in this series out loud. However, although this book is just a continuation of the story, the subject was much more difficult and did non hold his interest too. It was a bit too wordy on the scientific end and bounced back and forth through time to maintain his attention. Nosotros still made it through though and he did savour knowing what happened to Chitty in the terminate.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Race Against Time was so good that this was a slightly disappointing conclusion to the serial. They're billowy through fourth dimension then fast and the villain's antics are so bizarre that the book feels a bit trippy. And most of the book suffered from Piddling Harry'south absence. This trilogy was and so fun! I enjoyed this continuation of the original Chitty Chitty Bang Blindside book past Ian Fleming. The trilogy retained the charm and humor of the original book merely revolved around a 21st century family unit, so Chitty could take a more mod risk. I hated to meet it all cease, but it was a great journey.
In this volume, the story will be telling us that Large Ben has been stolen and is hurtling over England like a rocket. So Chitty Chitty Blindside Bang will be stopping Big Ben and finding out who is making Big Ben like a rocket. It was a interesting story and a deep moral behind this. I hope you guys similar information technology.

The final book in the serial is, I consider, the virtually fantastic of the four. It grounds itself just plenty to keep information technology from condign ridiculous though. Still at that place are those moments when readers just have to turn off the brain to keep yourself from trigger-happy the book apart.

A sci-fi turned fairy tale! Recommended for upwards to ten yrs!
Enthralling The book CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG OVER THE MOON I think was a pleasure to read and I hope that more books may come up out in the near future
This started off entertaining but in the end was overly long and also complicated for my boys to follow.
Fun read, though a lot happens in this book and it tin can be hard to follow the timeline at times.
A solid stop to the series with a plausible determination. I loved the narration, though the voice of Tiny Jack got to be a bit much.
I recall it's cute how much my husband loved this series. These four were a fun vacation read. This book then led us through getting over the Corona. Books bring so many connections and memories.
Such a fun story! I learned while laughing and it was magical.

The different versions of Chitty are fun, too, and the Tooting family unit having adventures together is pleasant.
Weaknesses: A fleck young for my group, merely a piddling long for elementary. This is the third and final book in the series, I think.
